How Strong is Extruded Aluminum?
Testing Data
AngleLock components and profiles are being tested and analyzed to prove the claims being made. Testing and analysis is ongoing. This page will be updated periodically as test data and analysis is completed for you to request the data.
Feel free to reach out to us if you have any concerns or questions regarding the strength of any AngleLock profiles or components.

Testing Data
In the vertical loading orientation, a bracket is mounted to a vertical profile, which is fixed, and the load is applied to the top of the bracket.
In the horizontal loading orientation, a bracket is mounted to a horizontal profile, which is fixed, and the load is applied to the side of the bracket. Because of the asymmetry of the hardware, there is a standard and alternate load direction.
In tensile loading, a bracket is mounted to a horizontal profile, which is fixed, and the load is applied axially along the free profile.
In the Moment about X-Axis, the bracket undergoes pure moment loading about its X-Axis, which is the axis found at the intersection of the two connection surfaces of the bracket. The two surfaces are either forced together or apart, like a door closing or opening.
In the Moment about Y-Axis, the bracket undergoes pure moment about its Y-Axis, which is the axis parallel to the fixed profile. Because of the asymmetry of the hardware, there is a clockwise and counterclockwise moment direction.
In Torsion, the bracket undergoes pure moment about its Z-Axis, which is the axis that is parallel with the free profile. Because of the asymmetry of the hardware, there is a clockwise and counterclockwise moment direction.
