Testing Data

In the vertical loading orientation, a bracket is mounted to a vertical profile, which is fixed, and the load is applied to the top of the bracket.

In the horizontal loading orientation, a bracket is mounted to a horizontal profile, which is fixed, and the load is applied to the side of the bracket. Because of the asymmetry of the hardware, there is a standard and alternate load direction.

 

In tensile loading, a bracket is mounted to a horizontal profile, which is fixed, and the load is applied axially along the free profile.

In the Moment about X-Axis, the bracket undergoes pure moment loading about its X-Axis, which is the axis found at the intersection of the two connection surfaces of the bracket. The two surfaces are either forced together or apart, like a door closing or opening.

In the Moment about Y-Axis, the bracket undergoes pure moment about its Y-Axis, which is the axis parallel to the fixed profile. Because of the asymmetry of the hardware, there is a clockwise and counterclockwise moment direction.

In Torsion, the bracket undergoes pure moment about its Z-Axis, which is the axis that is parallel with the free profile. Because of the asymmetry of the hardware, there is a clockwise and counterclockwise moment direction.
